CARLO BORLENGHI

CARLO BORLENGHI.

Award-winning sailing photographer.

Carlo Borlenghi was born in 1956 in Bellano (Lake Como) where he started his photography career following the local regattas. Still young, a collaboration with the magazine “Uomo Mare Vogue” allowed him to travel the world, following the most important nautical events.

Borlenghi has lost none of his enthusiasm for photography, is constantly searching for new adventures, and this leads him to be open-minded about new technology and developments in photography.

Carlo Borlenghi was initially the official photographer for the Italian America’s Cup campaigns “Azzurra” (1983), “Italia” (1987), “Moro di Venezia” (1992) and “Luna Rossa” (2000 and 2003). He worked as the official photographer for the organiser at the 32nd America’s Cup in 2007, before supporting for the defending champion, Swiss team “Alinghi”, in 2010.

I look at the event like a puzzle. I go out and each day I try to put one piece in the puzzle.
